20120610: minor edits around the eyes

Cole is my brother. Blood is my familiar. They exist in the same body because reasons.
* vampirism: can consume human food, but sustained primarily by blood. eyes reflect blood level (red indicates more recently fed, more powerful, and more in control; the more human and normal brown ironically warrants less control and an element of frailty by hunger/thirst). predominantly nocturnal; light, sunlight especially, has a soporific effect. extended exposure not known to cause damage past the severity of a sunburn.
** magic: dependent on blood intake. limited to: more extreme strength range (atrophies quickly, but also builds muscle quickly and potently), creating Familiars (as a blood source, but also as a means of sustaining the Familiar's life, as evidenced by Cole/Blood), Blood (control over the blood in his and his Familiars' bodies), forming Contracts (in order to grant a human the ability "Blood" in exchange for blood in return)

History:
ran away from home at 19 after wasting a year at home and getting sick of his parents; lived on the streets with some "friends" and got into drugs.
half a year later, Cole returns from studying abroad, finds Leon, and drags him off to college to "clean up his act." they live together, Cole as a student with a job, Leon just a waiter. Leon starts dropping into Cole's classes and picks up some engineering, focusing on cityscape and architecture. every now and again he'll fall back into old habits and pick up some drugs and get Cole mad at him.
he did not mean to take aurora: it warped into his room while he was sneaking a shot and he took it thinking it was more of the same. one injection later, he's suffering from blood thirst and attacks Cole, who just got back from a class. once he gets a semblance of rational thought back, he accidentally Familiarizes Cole out of panic... which, as it turns out, probably worked out for the better, because otherwise Cole would be 100% dead.
